Today’s kingdoms know of the stories of God delivering Isreal, but also know of the many times Isreal was defeated because of their sin. These kingdoms today are provoking Isreal to see if their God will defend or forsake them. Sin understands if it can weaken you within, it can overcome you totally. These kingdoms are testing the waters of Isreals love for God.

What stands out in my mind is that history repeats itself. There was a time when all the kingdoms feared Isreal as they wondered for 40 years thru the desert. The rulers of those kingdoms tried to curse Isreal like the story of Balaak and the prophet Baalam. Fear has a way of distorting truth, comfounding the mind, and causing people to act erational. God purposely led Isreal around all these kingdoms so that they constantly didn’t have to battle that spirit of fear. Continued in next comment
